Getting rid of chrome accents on your MINI can get expensive. For example, replacing the factory rear trunk lid latch handle with the official JCW Carbon Fiber part will cost nearly 2 1/2 times as much as this simple BUT PERFECT fitting real carbon fiber cover. It's dead simple to install using the supplied high bond double stick tape and takes just a few minutes. Sometimes there's just not a good reason to replace something that works perfectly well just to get a different look.

We do hear about a fair amount of the rear hatch handles having issues that require the whole rear trim part to be replaced (the factory replacement is only sold as the fully-functioning trunk lid - light, mechanism and all in one unit - not in individual pieces). The issues usually arise in MINIs that are 5+ years old.

If your latch is functioning fine and you just want the chrome or body-colored rear hatch handle to be carbon fiber instead, this is by far the best option.

Hello Outmotoring,
I have purchased your stage 1 speed upgrade and the results are amazing.
Next I plan to add the header & exhaust. Also the brake upgrade.
Thank you for your research and advice.
I think it would be helpful if you also added a suspension replacement/upgrade option like your speed upgrades.
I am a pretty much amateur with all the products available, and as an owner of a 2008 convertible S will be needing to replace these components soon.
Please provide upgrade options.

Love your business and your attempt to service MINI owners. One suggestion for you. When you feature a produce on the front of your emails each time, you should explain just exactly what the part is, what it does, and why a MINI owner would want to replace something on their car with it. All of us are not mechanics and might not recognize a picture of a part. As you do the site now, you always put these things in there and the copy is written as though everyone knows exactly what the part is for.

Another idea, what are the types of things that many MINI owners can do with their cars in terms of customization. Your site is so vast and the number of ideas so large, it's hard for the average person to get their arms around what you offer and why we should buy. You write as though we already know what we want when we come to your site. In actuality, many MINI owners who are not car-savvy don't even know what they might be looking for.
