Mine just came in the mail today. Its a million times easier to get this to go into and come out of the tube that leads to the oil sump than the factory dipstick. At 80$, its a bit pricey, but considering how much easier this makes checking oil levels, I highly recommend it. Better have an expensive dipstick and a properly filled sump than a broken dipstick and an oil starved and blown engine.

Sooner or later your stock Oil Dipstick is likely to crack. Something about the heating and cooling cycles in the engine bay and the material they used to manufacturer it combined with the twisting and such associated with using it. Cravenspeed stepped up the plate (again) but with a new design that resolves the problem of broken or stressed shafts. The new design by Cravenspeed is actually a giant SPRING that is tight wound so it will not stretch easy yet is endlessly flexible. Highlights: -The handle is lathe crafted 6061 Aircraft aluminum and is powder coated red. -The shaft is flexible spring made from 302 stainless steel. This make the trip down the snaking tube so much smoother than the stock dipstick. -The bottom sinker with the oil level meter on it is all stainless. 6 grooves cut into the sinker so they each catch a bit of oil so you know how much oil is in the pan.

My comment has to do with placing an order this weekend for less that $10 of products I tried paying with paypal three times and all three times it let me into the paypal system after logging in with my info for paypal then handed me back to your system at my shopping cart with the items still there and no order as if I never went through the process to pay with paypal. I finally opted to pay via my credit card and the system accepted the payment type and completed my order. Was this caused by a glitch in the system or what was the deal? My final order number is order #106762 which is the only one of four attempts in the end to be successful.
