B&M Short Shift Kit

The B&M MINI Cooper Short Kit shortens the shifter stroke by 27 percent. Tight tolerances and a 6061-T6 aluminum pivot location make the B&M Shifter very smooth and precise. Performance features include a counterbalanced bottom end and a one-piece billet 303 stainless steel shaft for ultimate strength. The Mini Cooper Sport Shifter accepts the stock knob, Whalen Shift Machine Knob or nearly all MOMO and other aftermarket shift knobs. B&M Sport Shifters are bolt-in replacement shifters that require only simple hand tools for quick installation. I had one of these in my personal car four about 4 years and really enjoyed it. Shifting was tight and defined and the shorter shift knob location (on the pre 03 kit) was a welcome change from the stock dorky shift location.

Select "2004 and Newer" if when you pull up the plastic ring around the shift boot and the main shift housing is Grey . Select '2003 and Older" if the housing is white. The cutoff is build date of 08/04 for the 2004 and newer kit. the production date is noted on the label of the inside door jamb on the drivers door.

02-06 Cooper S Hatchback (the 04-06 model short shift kit has been discontinued)
04-08 Cooper S Convertible (this model has been discontinued)

*Will MOST LIKELY have interference issues with the JCW exhaust on the 02-06 Cooper S.
