How many hood scoops has your insanely hot turbo warped? Well, for me, it only got 2 until I replaced the plastic scoop with a Carbon Fiber scoop...but I think having this in place would have saved me from replacing AND color matching the first two scoops. This is the official 'answer' from MINI regarding the widely known "melted hood scoop problem".

It's a dead simple install and can be done with basic hand tools in a few minutes. Mounts to the back side of the hood right above the turbo when the hood is shut.

Please note this is only the Silver heat shield. We have heard reports that the Black panel behind the heat shield has NOT been included in at least some of the 2011 and newer MINIs.
