Just like you, your MINI craves fresh air. The ALTA Performance™ Intake System is the only after-market alternative that provides a steady supply of cool fresh air thanks to a perfect seal, smooth silicon inlet hose (available in red, blue and black). Crafted from cold-rolled steel, the air box is finished to achieve an original equipment look and feel.

The stock air intake draws air in through the scoop in the front grille. The air is passed into the lower portion of the air box where it is pulled through the air filter and into the throttle body. Once in the supercharger the air is compressed through the intercooler and into the motor.

The weakest point in the system is the inefficient air ducting, which takes many, unnecessary turns and has a corrugated finish, which disrupts airflow.

The Alta intake system pulls cold air from the air ram duct in the grille and through the vent below the windshield. The box is sealed to the hood and prevents under hood heat from entering the intake air stream. The filter encapsulated in a fresh air bath. Reducing inlet air temperatures will create a cooler, denser air charge raising HP, and torque.
