If you've taken the head off your block you'll need to do two things. One is to get a fresh head gasket and the other is to get fresh Head Bolts. When properly torqued, head bolts (and any other bolt) will generally stretch which makes them inconsistent. If not replaced you will find it challenging to get proper and safe torque settings.
