Out Motoring provides the ultimate cylinder head for the Gen 1 Cooper S. While there's lots of options out there, most are designed to peak at super high RPM gain and lack the responsiveness and great torque of a high velocity road head. What we did was come up with a combination of features that would give the best performance bang for the buck at three different price points as well as offer additional services to make your project fit your exact needs. Even our Stage 1 head is designed to complement most of today’s Mini bolt on and tuning upgrades, but serious tweakers may want to get a Stage 3 which is tuned to perfection. Depending on the additional services, a wide range of solutions can be had.

We wanted to offer a head that would not compromise durability, dependability, or reliability and we feel we have done just that With a lot of the early MINI's seeing 90K + miles we are getting more and more requests for a replacement head with some performance gains. The Stage 2 is the sweet spot for most. We proudly offer professionally built cylinder heads with highest quality standards in the business. One that won’t compromise smog issues, or fuel economy, without demanding excessive dollars.
Please note, this price assumes a useable/rebuildable head is returned within 2 weeks of receiving the new head from OutMotoring. The core must be in working condition and cannot have any helicoils or other modifications that would in turn make it 'less than ideal' to be used as a proper core. Remember, the head you purchase will have been built up from a previous customers core and we want every head to be in top condition. If a good core is not returned within 2 weeks Out Motoring reserves the right to charge an additional $700 in order to source and ship a new core to our shop. In some cases, where a good core is not available we suggest buying one from a known source to satisfy the core charge. They tend to run between 550 and 800. Return shipping fees are the responsibility of the buyer. We will supply the address for the core return as it is a different facility located in Southern California.
