Thule Base Roof Rack

I have had numerous Thule racks over the years on various vehicles and find that they are very well engineered and with their growing list of attachments one haul nearly anything anywhere. They have a simple base rack kit that is super easy to install and is easily removable with one or two people and can be added to at will. The base feet and cross bars fit safely on the MINI Cooper roof using the side rain gutters as the main support in conjunction with Thules' innovative clamping system. They work on all years of the MINI Cooper and provide a stable and economical way to get a roof rack system. While MINI does offer a roof rack for both the Gen 1 and Gen 2 MINI, the Gen 1 requires 4 holes to be drilled into the beautiful roof and the Gen 2 rack requires a minor modification to inner lip of the rain gutter.

If you have Thule accessories or attachments from other vehicles or prefer to have a roof rack that allows a bit more flexibility than the OEM rack, the Thule base rack may be the perfect option for you. Please note this is ONLY the base rack, including 4 feet/bases: 400XTR Rapid Aero, 2 cross bars: RB47 Rapid Load, and 1 fit kit: 2145 Fit Kit. Does not include any accessory attachments or locks.

I have used this exact roof rack kit on my personal MINI's and never had any issues.
