It's a fact of life that parts that spin hundreds and hundreds of millions of times as you push the gas (and even when you don't) will eventually wear out. Drive shafts are one of those things and more commonly it is actually not the shaft that gives out but the constant velocity joint or CV joint goes first. The sign of a bad CV joint will typically be a clicking sound coming from the front end while turning. Another sign is that if the flexible boot that covers the CV joint is cracked it will start spewing grease everywhere and likely make a mess AND you will start to smell burnt oil as it gets on the hot engine block, etc. If you don't catch it early enough and you get small particles of dirt or rock in there the CV joint will get destroyed in no time. There are kits out there to replace/rebuild CV joints as well as CV joint boot kits but by the time you do the labor on either and buy the actual kit you may as well just replace the whole thing. Be sure to recycle your old drive shafts.

BTW, MINI charges upwards of $600 for EACH drive shaft. These are NOT OEM driveshafts and to be honest we have a pretty poor satisfaction rate with these. They are a good value and you can buy nearly 5 - 6 of them for the price of an OEM driveshaft but there is a risk for failure.

Installed short shifter kit with no problems except kit did not come with 'o' ring for shifter shaft. Factory 'o' ring was too larger off of OEM shift lever. I would also recommend some good out door adhesive to reinstall dust cover on shift box, because some of the locking tabs may break off when removing. And with this short shifter kit there is no need to modify shifter box as some other products require you to leave dust cover off or purchase a drop cover to accommodate the longer shift lever. These camber plates are very well built structurally, improved the handling of the car dramatically, but IE built this unit around a very low quality bearing. By increasing the camber in the way that this unit does, it puts more load on the bearing and within only a couple months of installing it, the bearing becomes noisy, than gets sloppy, and than you car sounds like your front end is going to fall off on mild bumps. We installed these fixed camber plates following the instructions to the letter and within a few months, every set had to come off the cars they were on.

My comment has to do with placing an order this weekend for less that $10 of products I tried paying with paypal three times and all three times it let me into the paypal system after logging in with my info for paypal then handed me back to your system at my shopping cart with the items still there and no order as if I never went through the process to pay with paypal. I finally opted to pay via my credit card and the system accepted the payment type and completed my order. Was this caused by a glitch in the system or what was the deal? My final order number is order #106762 which is the only one of four attempts in the end to be successful.
