These bushings defintly do there job. Shifting is smoother and bucking inbetween shifts and when flooring it have became less noticible. The engine feels connected to the frame, it move MUCH less now. Down side is the NVH inside the cabin. Noise is increased while getting into first gear, around 1100 RPM, after that its smooth and the noise is gone. Auto transmissions will vibrate more at a stop then manual cars. Also when the AC is on you can notice more noise at a stop. Overall i like the product and the noise is worth the performance to me.

NOTE: We also sell these as individual bushings separately in separate product pages.
This kit is ONLY for models UP to the end of 2004 and will not work on the Hydraulic engine mount.

The stock motor mounts do a fine job of what they do, but over time they tend to crack, wear and fall apart. It's a gradual process, but one day it will hit you that your MINI Cooper just feels worn out. One of the firsts things to look at is the motor mounts, as they are prone to crack and deteriorate. It's best to replace them before they tear in half, leaving your engine bucking up and down while making reverse dents in your hood as you accelerate and wonder what's going on.

This kit is a major improvement over the soft stock bushings and will reduce a great deal of movement in the engine which will, in turn, allow more power to go straight to the wheels instead of being wasted on motor mount flex. It's hard to explain how much of a difference this makes but it is well worth upgrading to a more rigid urethane motor mount system.

Kit includes: 4 motor mounts.

Note: Pff5-107- Lower Motor Mount Bushing does NOT replace the old mount- these are nested on top of the existing black rubber bushings and reassembled into the mount bracket: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PgcEH1jMpsk

R-Fifty WHAT?? Confused about what model MINI you have? We’re here to help. Check this out for more information.

*MINI changed the upper mount sometime in early 2005 to a hydraulic bushing. Please confirm via visual inspection if these bushings will fit your year and model as MINI has changed the motors mounts at least once since the car was released.

Installed short shifter kit with no problems except kit did not come with 'o' ring for shifter shaft. Factory 'o' ring was too larger off of OEM shift lever. I would also recommend some good out door adhesive to reinstall dust cover on shift box, because some of the locking tabs may break off when removing. And with this short shifter kit there is no need to modify shifter box as some other products require you to leave dust cover off or purchase a drop cover to accommodate the longer shift lever. Thank you so much Out Motoring for another great product and customer service, Jon
