These are by far some of the coolest lights around. When in the off setting the front lens appears to be black or dark smoked but when you flip the switch you get the full clarity of Hella's finest driving lights. The Hella 1000 is a monster of a light and I would consider them to be too big to mount in or around the upper grill but when mounted slightly below or in front of the bumper they look nicely proportioned and of course look 'serious'. If you're going for a traditional rally look these will do it well.
