The pic on the right is from a MINI Cooper engine and yes, that black junk all over the tip is metal...drawn out from the oil as it flows through the engine. Scary, huh? This is a direct replacement for the stock oil drain plug but it has a magnet on the tip which pulls tiny (and large) metal flakes out of the oil as it cycles through the engine. No leaks, ever! Will never vibrate loose. Please note, SOME plugs are shipped with a rubber gasket while others ship with a metal O-ring. Image shown for reference only. Made in the US. No leaks, ever! Just received my latest order for the R56 Gloss black hood scoop. Easy Install and great fit. Only issue is the gloss finish has major swirl scratches. Not sure if this was a return that got put back on the self or came from factory this way.
