Every oil change requires a new filter and some shops use crappy aftermarket filters. Do your MINI right and use the OEM filter which is the best for your vehicle. Even if you have to bring your own filter to the shop, it would be better that whatever they use (unless they use OEM parts). Of course, if you are a DIY oil change kind of person, you'll want to have a hand full of these on hand.
