For those who motor without run-flat tires (in my opinion, they make driving nearly unbearable) this is one the best ways to get yourself back on the road in good time. Perfect for temporary fixes to get you out of a bind. While it will eat up some of your trunk space it will surely be worth it in the event you actually have to use it. Because MINI never included a spare tire in the Cooper S models they put run flat tires on all Cooper S models which has some benefits but in my opinion is outweighed (pun intended) by the other issues like weight, harsh ride due to thicker sidewall and an overall disconnect from the road because the run flats are sooooo heavy and hard and .....

The factory Cooper spare tire is insanely overpriced at nearly $375.00 for just ONE space saver spare. Insane. We offer a nice alternative that is much more affordable and is actually a much better product. It's actually a nice "full sized" spare!

Please note this spare tire/wheel will NOT fit in the factory spare location (on cooper models) as it too large. It can be stored in a hatchback with the seats folded down or can be stored vertically with the aid of some bungees. We also have a true 'micro' spare tire available as well that will fit in the factory cooper spare location.

This wheel will NOT clear the JCW big brake kit BUT if you find yourself stranded and you have a flat on the front you can always take one of your rear wheels and put it on the front and put this on the rear. It adds to the time at the side of the road but surely beats 2-3 hours waiting and paying for a tow truck. Did you know all MINI's MUST be put on a flat bed which nearly always doubles the cost of a tow? This will pay for itself in one use.
