After about 3-4 years of hard driving you may find that the front end of your MINI is starting to feel a bit soggy. Some of that is from control arm bushings, motor mounts and overall wear and tear but the bulk of it is also due to chassis fatigue. While the upper strut towers are virtually a part of the firewall it would seem odd that there would be much movement between the strut towers but there is. Factory fresh MINI's don't tend to show this weakness but over time it will creep in. Upper stress bars are a good thing not only for older MINI's but for newer MINI's to help keep the front end more stable, especially when the chassis twists going into to high speed turns, etc.

This is one of the best upper stress bars we have seen and it is super light and stiff. To top it off the Carbon Fiber cross brace looks absolutely stunning and the machined aluminum brackets are top notch. Check out the photos. When installed this will clear the stock airbox on both the R50 Cooper and R53 Cooper S. It will likely fit over just about any aftermarket intake such as the Alta, etc if the two vertical metal walls are trimmed.

Install is a breeze and can be done by just about any skilled person in 15-20 minutes using basic tools.
