The rear hinges on the MINI Convertibles are normally body color but we found that the chrome replacement hinge covers are something that lots of MINI Cooper Convertible owners like so here they are.

This Left Rear Boot Hinge is one of the many MINI Cooper Parts and Accessories that we carry and will fit the following MINI Cooper Models and Years:

If you're shopping around and notice this part for less, please note this is a Genuine MINI part NOT a aftermarket manufacturer part. Genuine MINI parts are often manufactured to higher standards with materials approved by MINI.

Install notes: 1. Drop the boot down. 2. Remove the 2 plastic snaps from the full plastic covering on the interior of the boot door 3. Loosen the 2 torx bolts on the inside. You may need to use a rachet. 4. Before you completely remove the cover secure the boot so it does not get damaged. 5. Remove the old exterior hinge cover, which may require a little prying 6. Lift the boot upright but don't close it. Insert the new cover into the hinge and it should snap in place. 7. Drop the boot horizontal and reinsert the bolts and tighten.

These are the perfect addition to my JCW. I have a red over black JCW with the Xenon head lamps & black housings. These are the perfect way to tone down the brash bright red of the tail/brake lamp housings to match the front lamps. Not only do you eliminate the chrome but the housing itself is black thus darkening the appearance of the entire assembly. I would say these should be flying off the shelf but i don't want everyone to have a MINI that looks as good as mine.
