Brake light on? Worn through your pads before you had time to get new ones? The good news is that you had ample time to prepare, the bad news is that even if you did get new pads, the brake light will still glow at you gently reminding you that you waited too long. There is no way to get it to go away until you replace the offending brake wear sensor(s) AND reset the light. There is a separate brake wear sensor for the front and rear brake (only one for the front and one for the rear). If you do not know which sensor triggered the light you will need to replace both, otherwise you can replace just the one that tripped the light.
