Details

Over time the hydraulic pistons / struts that hold the hood up start to fail. The hatch will slowly shut on its own leaving you frustrated holding a quart of oil. Eventually you'll find yourself holding the hood open while you try to check the oil, which is beyond annoying- and a bit sad. Your MINI is getting old and needs to be taken care of. If this is the case, it's time to replace the hydraulic pistons.

When "life 's other stuff" got handled, I looked through the box again and saw the blue fob strip. First I thought it was added in error & was thinking "Crap, how do I get this back to them?"
