Over time the hydraulic pistons / struts that hold the hood up start to fail. The hatch will slowly shut on its own leaving you frustrated holding a quart of oil. Eventually you'll find yourself holding the hood open while you try to check the oil, which is beyond annoying- and a bit sad. Your MINI is getting old and needs to be taken care of. If this is the case, it's time to replace the hydraulic pistons with a fresh set. We have a kit with both the left and right to make it easy for you. They're easy to replace and should take about 10 minutes total Enjoy.

Sold as a set of 2 (Only ONE is shown in the picture). Install the top connection first and then the bottom- otherwise they will not fit on and will cause endless frustration.

I installed the Cravenspeed "Big Pair"today. Huge difference, just what the F56 chassis needed. Well made and very easy to install.

My comment has to do with placing an order this weekend for less that $10 of products I tried paying with paypal three times and all three times it let me into the paypal system after logging in with my info for paypal then handed me back to your system at my shopping cart with the items still there and no order as if I never went through the process to pay with paypal. I finally opted to pay via my credit card and the system accepted the payment type and completed my order. Was this caused by a glitch in the system or what was the deal? My final order number is order #106762 which is the only one of four attempts in the end to be successful.
