It should be crime that the early R56's are as quiet as they are. This exhaust system fixes that problem nicely.

Advantages: The price is good compared to other systems. This is a decently loud exhaust while accelerating, but it is very quiet at highway speeds and does not drone at all.

Disadvantages: If you have an early R56 (IE with an N14 motor) he flange that bolts to the catalytic converter will have to be trimmed back or else it will not seat properly. Not a big deal, but an annoyance nonetheless.

Details

Invidia has proven to offer well engineered and manufactured exhaust systems at competitive prices. The cat-back exhaust system for the R56 and R58 Mini Cooper S features dual rolled tips and 2.5" stainless piping. It's designed to bolt up to the stock down pipe and eliminates the second catalytic converter for a seamless install and is constructed of mandrel bent stainless steel tubing. Includes all necessary hardware and gaskets.

Thanks so much, I installed the MSD coil, MSD 8.5 mm wires and Iridium plugs. Mini runs much better, even idles at lower rpms and seem smoother in all gears.
I'm thinking it will pay for it's self in gas saving in short order.
