Every oil change requires a new filter and some shops use crappy aftermarket filters. Do your MINI right and use the MINI Cooper OEM MINI Oil filter OR this KN high performance filter which is the best for your vehicle. Even if you have to bring your own filter to the shop, it would be better than whatever they use (unless they use OEM or other high quality parts). Of course, if you are a DIY oil change kind of person, you'll want to have a few of these on hand.
