The KW Variant 1 has proven to be one of the better values in the coilover market. They are a great value and even with the pre-set dampening they are well worth considering on your short list for entry level coilovers. They offer Sporty Handling with factory pre-set damping. While they do not have lots of the adjustments that other coilovers have (including the Variant 2 and 3's which we also have), they are at a great price point and may be just the perfect solution for many MINI owners out there that do not need or want the extra features and higher price tag. The ideal system for customers wishing to rely on the experience of our engineers to set the damper setting, yet determine their own degree of lowering. In extensive driving tests KW engineers have set the dampers for the best balance between sporty driving, comfort and safety. The user is then free to decide the best height setting for their use and preference.

Hi,
I recently purchased the belt tensioner from Alta and had it installed. Had I only known over the past several thousand miles that my shock was bad, I would have changed it sooner. The shop guys brought the old one out to show me that it was completely useless. Since replacing it my mileage has increased dramatically, and performance as well. apparently the drive belt was slipping on the super charger. And power, all I can say is "Yeah, Baby". Thanks guys for making this part available.

I’m on my 5th Mini and have been using OutMotoring since the 2nd for cosmetic upgrades. I’ve since decided to go for performance upgrades for my JCW and Aaron has been super helpful with suggestions for next steps. Very quick shipping when the items come directly from OM vs. the manufacturer. I’ll always check OM first if I need something for my Mini. Thanks!
