This is a review of the M12 stud conversion kit for the R53 MINI Cooper S. This is the second stud kit that I have installed. The first set was of much lessor quality and was totally worn out within six years of auto-x, track days and winter tire change-over.
These new studs appear to be far superior and slightly longer. I also like the unthreaded portion that allows lining up the nut to help prevent cross threading.
I do have one question; Do you recommend any using any lubrication on the threads of the studs?
Ordered oil change kit for my Mini Cooper. One of the oil containers had leaked throughout the box, soaking everything else, and through the bottom of the box. Made a oily mess. You need to check the caps to make sure they are tight before shipping.

The R55 was introduced in Cooper and Cooper S versions and is referred to as the Clubman. This slightly longer MINI model provides more rear-seat leg room and increased cargo
space when compared to the Hardtop. It has twin "barn doors" (alternately
referred to as "the Splitdoor") enclosing the boot instead of a pull-up
hatch. Another unique feature of the R55 is the "Clubdoor" on the right-hand side - making this model a three door MINI with front and rear seats.
