These are the perfect addition to my JCW. I have a red over black JCW with the Xenon head lamps & black housings. These are the perfect way to tone down the brash bright red of the tail/brake lamp housings to match the front lamps. Not only do you eliminate the chrome but the housing itself is black thus darkening the appearance of the entire assembly. I would say these should be flying off the shelf but i don't want everyone to have a MINI that looks as good as mine.
Both of the front headlight trims came with one having the letter "A" and one having the letter "B" but does not instruct on which one is left and right side. Both pieces are almost identical and fit nearly the same on either headlight trim. I feel that there should be some sort of instruction on which one goes on the left or right side.
Out Motoring deserves kudos for their service! I was prepping for a road trip when less than two weeks prior I decided to upgrade two engine mounts and install a short shift adapter in my R53. Aaron and Brittany were hugely helpful in getting me ready! Brittany was able to find the mounts I wanted in stock, and Aaron helped me with info on the short shifter I was looking at. Brittany helped me again when I changed my mind, by modifying my order on the fly. They got the components to me in four days - plenty of lead time before my scheduled installation appointment and well in advance of the trip. BIG Thanks to Out Motoring for their help. This outfit will be at the top of my vendor list for future maintenance and upgrade needs.
From here on, MINI has consistently released the Cooper and Cooper S
versions of each model under the same R series designations. The 2nd Gen MINI Cooper and Cooper S Hatchback maintain a few Gen 1 features, including two doors, a rear hatch, and front and rear seats. However, it branches into a re-engineered platform incorporating many stylistic and engineering changes. The use of a new engine makes the Gen 2 more cost-effective and fuel-efficient.
