With each new model brings a range of great new products for us to research and list on our website but it also gets a bit more confusing with each additional model. In the beginning there was just the MINI Hatchback R50 and R53 so it was EASY to create a website that was easy to shop. Now there are well over 18 models and when the 4 door MINI, the new clubman, the new hatchback and whatever MINI will offer we will easily have 28-32 different models to select from. Our current website has every model listed on the left and it is working BUT when we add another 10 models over the next 2 years it may become overwhelming for customers to shop and find what they want. Should we keep it the way it is or add one of those "Year" "model" drop down selection options to replace all of these models listed on the left navigation? Doing so will limit the products displayed to just those that fit that vehicle but it will also hide all the other products and in some case our customers have 2, 3 or even 4 MINI's in their household! I have always disliked the drop down menu to select a make, model and year of vehicle but it is looking like it may be the best way to navigate the various models by MINI. What are your thoughts?
