I wanted to de-chrome the belt line of my BRG R56. A black belt line looks nice but is so common. I ordered the red kit from OutMotoring and it didn’t disappoint. High quality 3M automotive vinyl. Fast service. Thanks OM!

Advantages: Easy to install. High quality

Disadvantages: Obviously takes some finesse to do it right. But there is enough extra on the roll if you need to re-do a panel.

This kit is ONLY for the gen2 and gen3 MINI models listed below and is 5/8"" wide. Please note the year and model range listed below to confirm you are ordering the correct part for your MINI.

We have a alternate kit that is 1/2" wide which is for the gen1 models.

Just like the Blackout Beltline kit but in Red, which will certainly add about 8-10 HP at the wheels. *wink wink* This is an exterior grade automotive pin-striping material that is supplied as a roll and is ready to be applied. It is best to work in sections (door panel, etc.) and cut a piece about 1/2" longer than needed and apply it while holding a bit of tension (but not too much or it will stretch). If you use the black rubber lip that wraps over the edge of the chrome beltline as a guide to butt up the tape to, you will likely have good results.

On the image above: the chrome part is the original beltline trim, while the red trim is the installed red beltline kit.

I had a bit of disappointment today when my new hitch arrived - it was not the correct model for my car.
In retrospect, I looked back at the ordering page and found that it was my mistake but I could see why. I searched for a hitch for a Mini-S R53 and it took me to a 1001 which is for a non-S R50. The model numbers for the hitches and the cars they match up with were at the very bottom of the page, which I didn't see when ordering. It would have been very helpful if the drop-down menu had not just the hitch model number (1003) but the car model as well (R50, R53...) to help avoid this confusion.
It cost me return shipping and another week or more of wait. Not fun.

I was a little disappointed after speaking with Aaron today about my order. I placed an order for two items and was sent an email with a tracking number. Got one of the items today as tracking number stated. There was a note in the package that the other item was being shipped from another warehouse. There was no mention of this when I received the email with the tracking number. Then when I contacted Outmotoring about this. Aaron told me he would try and get me a tracking number for the other item.Then could not verify when the item would ship. Would have been nice to know that it would be shipping from some where else in the original email.
