The Chain Tensioner is just one of the replacement parts needed in order to successfully complete a replacement of the stock timing chain for the common issues with the N12 or N14 MINI Cooper S. The N12 was used on the base Cooper model. The N14 engine was used on the Cooper S turbo (gen2- as noted below) until the end of 2010 and was also used on the *JCW models UP to the end of 2011. All other models had the N18 starting in 2011.

This Timing Chain Tensioner is made by IWIS and will fit the following MINI Cooper Models and Years:

Without a doubt, Out Motoring is the best aftermarket retailer I've worked with. I came in to buy some small parts. I mentioned that I needed a few of the nutcerts for my Mini. One part that I needed had to be shipped to me. When it arrived they had included the nutcerts.
