Product worked great for pulling a small utility trailer; however, the hitch actually bent at the weld when used with a cargo carrier that was well under the 150lbs.

Advantages: It's great to have a hitch.

Disadvantages: Not easy to install. Had to completely remove the reinforcement bar to install. Hitch failed and messed up my rear bumper. It is bent at the weld and the metal is splitting.

Most of our customers purchase our hitch to attach a bike rack and do not require a Drawbar or Wiring kit.

The MniDoMore Hidden Hitch is custom engineered to fit specific MINI models and is one of the only hitches on the market that is hidden behind the bumper yet accessible for easy use when needed.

The MniDoMore Hidden Hitch for the 2011 and NEWER MINI R56 Hatchback 'S", R57 Convertible 'S", R58 Coupe 'S' AND R59 Roadster "S" models ONLY - does not fit the JCW bodykit.

If you have the JCW body kit (specifically the JCW REAR BUMPER) you will need the #1003 hitch receiver (NOT THE 1007 which is sold on this page). The install of the 1003 along with the JCW rear bumper requires cutting a small square hole in the painted part of the bumper about 3" from the exhaust tips.

The hitch is a custom designed heavy duty Steel assembly that mounts behind the plastic part of the MINI bumper and uses factory hardware and mounting location for a seamless and integrated look that is safe and secure and offers MINI owners the flexibility to haul, tow, attach or carry stuff they otherwise would never be able to. The hitch mounts between the large bumper support beam and the chassis.

This hitch is accessed through a small square hole in the rear lower black grill above the exhaust tips. We supply a black square plug that can be used to cover the hole when the hitch is not in use.

Accessing the hitch to insert the hitch lock pin requires reaching behind/under the plastic trim of the bumper. The first few times it will be a bit challenging to work 'blind' but it will get easier.

Once installed, the hitch can be used to attach just about any off-the-shelf trailer, bike rack or luggage trays that have a 1-1/4" size connection. The vast majority of MINI drivers will use our hitch in conjunction with an aftermarket bike rack attachment (like Thule, Yakima, etc.). A 1-1/4" hitch connection is required and the post needs to be long enough to clear the bumper.

-1 1/4" Class I Receiver SAE J684 Certification – No other Cooper S receiver hitch on the market have this Certification!
-Mounts concealed behind rear bumper
- Powder coated black to resist rust
- 150 lb maximum tongue weight 1500 lb tow capacity.
-Packaged complete with installation instructions
-Installs with ordinary hand tools using existing hardware

Wiring Kit Detail:
- Standard 4 plug connector
- Active tail converter that functions without applying additional loads to the Mini’s wiring or computer
-Takes power from a direct feed from the rear cigarette lighter.
-Takes 3 brake and stop signals (left turn, right turn, stop) and converts to two light signal on trailer lights (left turn and stop, right turn and stop)
-Includes all required wiring, connectors, and detailed installation instructions

Drawbar Detail:
-1 1/4” Class I drawbar with 2” drop
-Includes 1 7/8” ball
-Tow chain plate with chain holes is included
-1/2" pin and clip included

I am so grateful to these folks! This non-mechanic was able to fix a problem that would have cost a couple of k's to fix at a dealership or mechanic. Aaron and Anthony were able to communicate with me to troubleshoot the issues and parts with me based off of my troubleshooting and error codes I received from my Schwaben (which Aaron referred me to a few years ago). They got the parts to me in a speed I was able to fix my problems before a scheduled shop visit that is always 2-3 weeks out. Now all I need is an oil and break fluid change I don't want to do and a slow leaking valve gasket I need to decide if I want to attempt. I found helpful videos that I'm almost thinking yes. Thanks guys!
