Installed on a 2011 MCS. Very easy to install, except on 2011+. You must use your stock tube from the tubro due to two sensors being mounted in the tube. I trimmed down the AEM pipe to fit from the air box to the stock tube. AEM heat shield must also be trimmed on the N18 engine. The oil cap filler is closer to the front of the vehicle and will not allow proper bolt alignment without a trim. Overall outstanding.

Picked up the AEM cold air intake and just installed this past weekend on my 2012 R58 JCW. Th install was easy and went in quickly with a minor mod needed to the mounting hole which was drilled out a bit.But unless I missed something, the next morning I went to work with way less power now in the car. and I'm a bit perplexed by the issue.And the check engine light was on. disconnected the battery to try and reset the system with no luck. Car is now at the shop getting looked over. For something that in reading needed zero ECU or tuning needed, has me frustrated. Any reading have any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Advantages: quick, easy install

Disadvantages: loss of power

AEM intake for the US spec Gen2 Cooper S models up to the end of 2010 which is the N14 engine. Please note that the JCW engine stayed as the N14 into 2012 but the "S" model engine changed to the N18 in 2012.

The AEM intake is a two part design which includes the hood mounted air funnel to pull fresh air through the hood scoop and the main intake assembly that replaces the factory airbox. This is very similar to the DDM race intake but is entirely plastic which does not hold heat as long as metal and will not rust. Once installed the only upper stress bars that will fit are the GT spec and the AEM bar.

The N14 engine was used in the S model until the end of 2010 and then all but the JCW models got the N18 engine starting in 2011. The JCW kept the N14 engine in 2011 and should have switched to the N18 engine in 2012.

Hello, My order #xxxxx. I was very happy with the quick delivery. I checked the contents-then put the box aside. I purchased an RSIC6 rear GP style spoiler for my MINI R56 S. During installation, it became clear there was an issue with the fitment. I sent an email to RSIC6 (they're in Italy) and the next morning they replied. They told me to contact Outmotoring for a full replacement. I reached out to Outmotring, and by the middle of that next day they already had a new product shipped. The level of customer service was fast, prompt and excellent! The replacement spoiler is now on my car and it looks fantastic! Thanks Outmotoring and RSIC6!
