This looks great installed. It is super easy to install although you may have a bit of trouble getting the bolts close to the edge unscrewed. As I have learned all of the things under the hood are in a tight, small space and sometimes it is difficult to use your regular tools as they bump into something immovable under the hood when turning. Can feel the difference in the suspension and needed to adjust technique in tight curves.

Advantages: Great looking, easy to install, fits over the AEM cold air intake system on my 2015 JCW Roadster.

Disadvantages: None and isn't that grand!

If you have the AEM or DDM intake with the air scoop funnel, this is the only upper stress bar that we know of that will clear the intake and the funnel once installed. This bar may NOT fit on the stock airbox on the N18 model due to the Mass Air Flow sensor location, however we have not had any complaints about fitment when installed with the AEM intake.

This is one of the VERY few upper stress bars that will clear the hood funnel. AEM performance strut bars lock the tops of your struts together to reduce strut movement in extreme conditions. They are constructed from 1 1/2 inch steel tubing, providing great strength and and low weight. This is an absolutely fantastic product that is engineered very well and looks stunning. Aside from doing what it was engineered to do, it makes the engine bay of your Turbo MINI Cooper look complete. Super thick base plates (RED) could double as a strut tower plate while the cross bar is polished metal. AEM 29-0005R
