Details

This is a welcome upgrade to the cheap-ish feeling stock e-brake handle. Matches the John Cooper Works shift knob and is beautifully finished. Installs in about 5-7 minutes using a screwdriver and your hands to remove the old one by gently putting pressure on the 3 tabs on the old handle and sliding it off. You will also need to pop the ebrake boot out of the center console to get to the zip tie on the backside that clamps the boot to the knob.

The new ebrake handle is designed to be glued into place using epoxy as it is does not have the molded in tabs.

Installed short shifter kit with no problems except kit did not come with 'o' ring for shifter shaft. Factory 'o' ring was too larger off of OEM shift lever. I would also recommend some good out door adhesive to reinstall dust cover on shift box, because some of the locking tabs may break off when removing. And with this short shifter kit there is no need to modify shifter box as some other products require you to leave dust cover off or purchase a drop cover to accommodate the longer shift lever. My hitch for my R53 came in today and 3 hours later it is installed and the car is all back together. The fit and finish are excellent and I couldn't be happier with the product. The only problem I had is that the instructions mention zip ties and replacement trim mount clips but the little Baggie included in my box was empty. Someone forgot to pop the parts into the bag before tossing the bag into the box. Didn't really effect me because I didn't break any trim tabs and I have PLENTY of zip ties.

Thanks for a great and unique product that makes the ownership of our quirky little MINIs even better.

I recently ordered some blackout rings for the tail lights on my F54 Clubman.
