Priced as a single strut.

Over time the hydraulic pistons / struts that hold the hatch up start to fail. The hatch will slowly shut on its own leaving you frustrated holding a few bags of groceries or loot from your last Home Depot adventure. Eventually you'll find yourself holding the trunk open while you load and unload stuff, which is beyond annoying- and a bit sad. Your MINI is getting old and needs to be taken care of. If this is the case, it's time to replace the hydraulic pistons with a fresh set. They're easy to replace and should take about 10 minutes total Enjoy. Purchase 2 to replace both sides.

If you don't mind destroying the OEM shifter boot then this thing is a snap (literally and figuratively) to install. You won't need to disassemble the center console. I just broke it off with a screwdriver. The new well pops right in with no tools. Couldn't be simpler.
