Details

Over time the hydraulic piston / strut that holds the hood up start to fail. The hatch will slowly shut on its own leaving you frustrated holding a quart of oil. Eventually you'll find yourself holding the hood open while you try to check the oil, which is beyond annoying- and a bit sad. Your MINI is getting old and needs to be taken care of. If this is the case, it's time to replace the hydraulic pistons with a fresh set. It is easy to replace and should take about 10 minutes total Enjoy. Sold individually.
