MINI superchargers tend to last anywhere from 120-180K miles. If you've gotten more than that consider your self lucky. Even though they were 'engineered' to be maintenance free they tend to run dry and burn up. If yours is starting to make some funky noises it's likely that the bearings are burnt out. When your MINI needs a new supercharger consider this MINI Oem supercharger direct from MINI. As of mid 2022 we have not found any other supercharger near as good as this and based on numerous discussions with other parts vendors the general feedback is that all rebuilds with few exceptions end in a disaster with significant issues due to poor quality components and or processes. The OEM replacement NEW supercharger is the only way to go but unfortunately will cost about (or more) what a early R53 or R52 "S" is worth as of 2022.

Thanks so much, I installed the MSD coil, MSD 8.5 mm wires and Iridium plugs. Mini runs much better, even idles at lower rpms and seem smoother in all gears.
I'm thinking it will pay for it's self in gas saving in short order.
