KN Apollo Air Intake System 
This is a great intake that will make a great addition to any Gen 2 Cooper engine bay. This KN air intake system is a replacement for the restrictive stock air box and will add a nice growl to the front end. Of course, it is anchored by the popular KN cleanable air filter so you don't have to worry about replacing it as long as it is cleaned regularly.

The KN 57i Air Filter for the MINI Cooper provides a large size open-air conical High-Flow Air Filter. The extra surface area of these open-air air filters provide even more airflow at lower restriction than a K&N O/E replacement filter which is always limited to the size of the factory air box. The larger air filter also captures and holds more dirt increasing its service life before a cleaning is required (every 10,000 miles). The filter is attached to the throttle body through a rigid tube while a long flex pipe feeds fresh air from behind the grill. All adapters are made from high quality materials such as steel, aluminum, silicon or reinforced nylon to ensure long life.

Fits these MINI models:
2007+ Cooper hatchback
2008+ Cooper Clubman
2009+ Cooper Convertible

We have a customer in Canada and his MINI has the Mass Air Flow sensor and found that this kit could be used by doing the following:

6 #44 Hose clamps. (not 4)
2 silicone adapter hoses. (not 1)
1 1/4 inch small spacer under mounting bracket on Cam cover ( as not to damage the fuel rail)

In the instructions they will need to add:

1. Disconnect air sensor.
2. Remove 2 Torx screws from air box and rubber seal.
3. Cut 1.75 inches from long end of plastic hose.

So it fits well but not fantastic. People may also need to remove the Rad bottle at the front in order to attach the flex tube to the front of the car.
