MINI switched the rear fog lamp/brake light option around a few times throughout production of the Gen 1 MINI. For a while, they all had a clear rear reverse light included with all cars, and there was a rear fog light option that stayed, but there was also a nasty black filler plate that was used if you did not pay for the rear fog light option after they stopped including the clear lamp as standard.

Now, here is the catch, we offer both the RED and the CLEAR rear light but not the actual toggle panel to make it active as it is a can 'o worms. There are not only front and rear fog light options, but there is also ASC and DSC which makes the selection of the replacement toggle quite confusing. We have just the lights so you can wire it up with the rear taillights on your own and make it a additional brake light or just pop it in and leave it. If you are really wanting to get it to work as a fog (the red lamp) you can work with your dealer and list all of your specs and get the correct toggle panel to replace your existing panel.
