The pic on the right is from a MINI Cooper engine and yes that black junk all over the tip is metal...drawn out from the oil as it flows through the engine. Scary, huh?

This is a direct replacement for the stock oil drain plug but it has a magnet on the tip which pulls tiny (and large) metal flakes out of the oil as it cycles through the engine. No leaks, ever! Will never vibrate loose. Please note, SOME plugs are shipped with a Rubber gasket while others ship with a metal O-ring.
