Replacement Brake Wear Sensor 
Brake light on? Worn through your pads before you had time to get new ones? The good news is that you had ample time to prepare, the bad news is that even if you did get new pads, the brake light will still glow at you gently reminding you that you waited too long. There is no way to get it to go away until you replace the offending brake wear sensor(s) AND reset the light. On 02-03 MINI's (I think!!!!), there was only a front wear sensor and NO rear sensor (hence nearly all the aftermarket pads not having this feature).

You will need to look at your rear caliper (check both left and right) to see what's going on to know for sure. In 2004 MINI added a rear right wear sensor to the mix. And of course in 2007 MINI released a new variant for the Gen 2 cars...We have them all available. They are very easy to replace especially when you get new pads.
