Brake light on? Worn through your pads before you had time to get new ones? The good news is that you had ample time to prepare, the bad news is that even if you did get new pads, the brake light will still glow at you gently reminding you that you waited too long. There is no way to get it to go away until you replace the offending brake wear sensor(s) AND reset the light. On 02-03 MINI's (I think!!!!), there was only a front wear sensor and NO rear sensor (hence some aftermarket pads may not have this feature). You will need to look at your rear caliper (check both left and right) to see what's going on to know for sure. In 2004 MINI added a rear right wear sensor to the mix.

The Replacement Brake Wear Sensor is one of the many MINI Cooper Parts and Accessories that we carry and will fit the following MINI Cooper Models and Years:

Gen1 MINI:

R50 MINI Cooper Hatchback: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006

R52-S MINI Cooper S Convertible: 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008

R53-S MINI Cooper S Hatchback: 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006

I've been ordering parts from Outmotoring's site for a few years now after having some bad experiences from other Mini part sites. Although I have only had a few order errors, Outmotoring has corrected it quickly both times. If 'to err is human' than Outmotoring is 'more human than human'. Keep up the good work guys and I'll keep buying from you!

Hi,
I recently purchased the belt tensioner from Alta and had it installed. Had I only known over the past several thousand miles that my shock was bad, I would have changed it sooner. The shop guys brought the old one out to show me that it was completely useless. Since replacing it my mileage has increased dramatically, and performance as well. apparently the drive belt was slipping on the super charger. And power, all I can say is "Yeah, Baby". Thanks guys for making this part available.
Best Regards,
Ron

These camber plates are very well built structurally, improved the handling of the car dramatically, but IE built this unit around a very low quality bearing. By increasing the camber in the way that this unit does, it puts more load on the bearing and within only a couple months of installing it, the bearing becomes noisy, than gets sloppy, and than you car sounds like your front end is going to fall off on mild bumps. We installed these fixed camber plates following the instructions to the letter and within a few months, every set had to come off the cars they were on.
