Check these numbers out...this is JUST the supercharger swap on a stock gen1 Cooper S:
Power increase from 169hp to 197hp
Torque increase from 143lb/ft to 163/ft
Sprintex's entry system to the U.S.A. is proof positive that supercharging small engines for impressive torque really does work. The twin-screw Sprintex S5-210 supercharger is the centerpiece of this O.E.M. style replacement kit. The system comes with all necessary installation hardware. It features cooler operating temperatures, cooler discharge temperatures, and less drive power requirement while still being a blower displacement upgrade (45ci to 57ci.). The base dyno test had a 15% overdrive pulley on the car. Standard Mini Cooper S vehicles with no modifications generate 150whp on this dyno. If you figure for the 15whp "gap", the system makes a total additional 47whp per the OCD Tuning Dynojet. No retuning is required, but we're sure that won't stop you! Notice the fitment quality and attention to detail. The knock sensor is relocated to the blower inlet casting. The factory recirc and water hose locations are retained. The throttle body is not relocated. Vacuum fittings are in their stock locations. The stock dipstick is even there.
