Details

The eagle-eyed MINI owner may notice that on the 04-08 Convertible there are support beams that connect to the strut tower and to the front section of the main body at an angle. These are to help distribute some of the stress of daily driving. While they are designed for the Convertible, the 2003 and newer hatchbacks SHOULD have the mounting holes pre-drilled so these can be retrofitted.

We have noticed that some earlier model MINI Hatchbacks (especially 02-to early 04) do NOT have the pre-drilled and tapped nuts to accept the bolts in this kit. But don't lose hope, you can either weld them in or have some holes drilled and tapped or use what are called NUTSERTS which are like a rivet that is threaded.

Sold as a set of 2 rails and needed bolts.
