If your MINI F55 Four Door was built without the "load floor" (AKA 'hidden floor storage compartment') and have your heart set on it, we now offer the full retrofit kit to add this feature. This kit contains the revised left and right plastic panels, adjustable floor, brackets, mounts, adapters, bolts, and other components to retrofit the load floor option. FYI: this is also called the Storage Compartment Package 'S493A' by the dealer.

While there are no official instructions for this kit we have found this how to on one of the MINI forums that may be of help.

The storage compartment kit allows the included lid to be adjusted in 2 locations. The upper location will match the height of the seats as they are folded down which is perfect for loading large items. The lower setting is great for maximizing not only the space below it in the secret compartment area but will allow space for 'normal' use of the trunk area. All in all it's a fantastic kit and offers loads of flexibility to your MINI's trunk.

Please note: The detailed images are of the F56 Hatchback NOT the F55 Four Door and are for reference only, although the two kits look very similar when installed.

Hi,
I recently purchased the belt tensioner from Alta and had it installed. Had I only known over the past several thousand miles that my shock was bad, I would have changed it sooner. The shop guys brought the old one out to show me that it was completely useless. Since replacing it my mileage has increased dramatically, and performance as well. apparently the drive belt was slipping on the super charger. And power, all I can say is "Yeah, Baby". Thanks guys for making this part available.

Just purchased the Black "slat" Grill to replace the standard chrome slat grill on my R56, I installed it with the original chrome trim pieces, looks fantastic for $100. Not knowing what I was doing at first and it still only took 10 mins. to install.

Did a search online for a replacement dome light button for a 2004 mini copper s and was directed toward your site. I was, frankly, shocked by the price listed and wouldn’t be surprised if others had the same reaction, after viewing the price. After swing that outrageous price, for a dome light button, I may have to, seriously, reconsider buying anything from your sight, in light of the fact that I can purchase a, nearly, brand new one- although it’ll be used- for $25, with free shipping. Please, if you will, explain selling a button for $67. That’s, without shipping.

ANSWER from OutMotoring: Hi, yes, this is a insanely high price for such a small item, unfortunately production and other costs define the price as we have to purchase this though the MINI parts network and they sometimes have exceptionally high prices on some items.
