This replacement lock key for the official MINI wheel lock kit is made specific to your lock BUT there are 10 original KEY CODES and each is just a bit different as to not work unless you have that exact 2 digit code!!

If you do not know your two digit code it should have been supplied when the wheel lock kit was purchased new and would have been on a small piece of paper. We get a call or 2 a week about this and find that this paper is often missing which leaves the owner without ANY way to know what 'their' 2 digit code is. The only option is to either buy ALL the keys we offer OR just get the old bolt by doing whatever it takes. At that point just throw away the old wheel locks and start over.

If you do not have this 2 digit code there is NO way for us to know what key code your MINI requires. If the key code is lost there is NO way to know the key code. Typically when the key is purchased there will be a 2 digit code in the packaging and some MINI owners will keep that code in the glovebox or with the jack and other tools in the trunk.

If you do not have this 2 digit code the only way to get the old key off is to force a tool such as a large "torx" socket into the splines just to get some traction on the bolt which may allow you to get the bolt to turn enough to get it off. It will help if you tighten the other lugs a bit to take some of the stress off the one that needs to be removed.

Please note this kit (mentioned above) will ONLY fit the 14mm type fitting on the August 2006 and newer MINI models. The older models use a 12mm lug bolt.

Hello, My order #xxxxx. I was very happy with the quick delivery. I checked the contents-then put the box aside. When "life 's other stuff" got handled, I looked through the box again and saw the blue fob strip. First I thought it was added in error & was thinking "Crap, how do I get this back to them?" Then I saw the note from Chris. I wanted to get back and let you know how much I appreciated that. So kudos to the company and everyone that handled my order.

Now I want to buy more "stuff" for my mini!

Installed short shifter kit with no problems except kit did not come with 'o' ring for shifter shaft. Factory 'o' ring was too larger off of OEM shift lever. I would also recommend some good out door adhesive to reinstall dust cover on shift box, because some of the locking tabs may break off when removing. And with this short shifter kit there is no need to modify shifter box as some other products require you to leave dust cover off or purchase a drop cover to accommodate the longer shift lever.
