We are happy to finally have this replacement gasket set available as it is one of the most common issues with all MINIs. The factory rubber seal between the mirror and the door tends to get dry rot and will deteriorate over time to the point it crumbles off. MINI only offers the full mirror with the gaskets as one part number but we were able to find a company that supplies just the gaskets, saving our customers hundreds of dollars as each replacement mirror housing ranges from $170-350 EACH. These gaskets replace the old damaged gaskets and will require the mirror housings to be removed which is VERY easy. Simply rotate the mirror housing to expose to two screws that hold it to the door and once removed will allow the mirror housing to be removed. There will be a wire harness to remove as well. The old gasket will need to be peeled off in order for the new gaskets to be installed.
