This is a review of the M12 stud conversion kit for the R53 MINI Cooper S. This is the second stud kit that I have installed. The first set was of much lessor quality and was totally worn out within six years of auto-x, track days and winter tire change-over.These new studs appear to be far superior and slightly longer. I also like the unthreaded portion that allows lining up the nut to help prevent cross threading.
I do have one question; Do you recommend any using any lubrication on the threads of the studs? John W
Needed to replace the cheesy and broken e-brake handle on my 2008 Clubman S. Purchased the Cravenspeed assembly from Outmotoring. Received the purchase in a VERY timely manner and the quality of the Cravenspeed handle is top notch. Installation was easy and it felt good to toss the broken cheesy factory assembly! Ordered oil change kit for my Mini Cooper. One of the oil containers had leaked throughout the box, soaking everything else, and through the bottom of the box. Made a oily mess. You need to check the caps to make sure they are tight before shipping. Ernest Anderson
