yes, we had a batch of 25 that had poor welding by the manufacturer and nearly all of them have been replaced. The revised units that are now shipping have been laser cut to allow the pins to protrude through the metal shaft and are welded from the back for a super bond. No issues have been detected with this new method.

This is the 'secret tool' you or your shop will need to do a Gen1 MINI Cooper belt swap or a Cooper S pulley swap. This is a must have to do the job right. Be sure to get the Supercharger Pulley Removal Tool while you're at it. Trust us, don't even consider doing a pulley swap without these critical tools. When you install a smaller diameter pulley you can reuse the stock belt by simply letting the tensioner do its job. Also for those MINI's that are getting near the 50-60K mark, this is the tool you will need to replace your stock belt with as little hassle as possible. We also have the NAPA / Gates / Car Quest (all the same belt).

This tool is ONLY for the "S" Gen 1 MINI.

So happy I found this store. I order a grill for my R56-S and shipping was fast. I did how ever had the wrong trim (completely my fault) I called and they hooked me up with the right ones right away.
