We now offer the option to add a MINI model/engine specific oil filter socket if needed. See drop down menu.

Every oil change requires a new filter and 5 quarts of approved MINI oil. The stock drain plug can be reused a few times but it is a good idea to replace it every few oil changes because the threads get worn, the head can take abuse and get stripped out and as it tightened the threads can stretch a bit which in extreme cases can allow oil to leak. Also, the molded in rubber gasket can get dry rot over time.

Don't risk taking your MINI to a shop that uses poor quality filters and low quality oil- AND re uses the old drain plug- even if they've stripped it out! Do your MINI right and use the MINI Cooper OEM MINI Oil and filter which is the best for your vehicle. Even if you have to bring your own stuff (this kit) to the shop, it would be better than whatever they use (unless they use OEM parts). Of course, if you are a DIY oil change kind of person, you'll want to have a few of these kits on hand.

Be ready with the right tools by adding a 36mm socket to remove the factory oil filter housing.

I was a little disappointed after speaking with Aaron today about my order. I placed an order for two items and was sent an email with a tracking number. Got one of the items today as tracking number stated. There was a note in the package that the other item was being shipped from another warehouse. There was no mention of this when I received the email with the tracking number. Then when I contacted Outmotoring about this. Aaron told me he would try and get me a tracking number for the other item.Then could not verify when the item would ship. Would have been nice to know that it would be shipping from some where else in the original email.

Ordered the rear set delete kit (with the seat belt hole option) planning on using it as a platform for my dogs instead of having the enter through the door and sit on the rear seat. After reading through the install procedures and prepping the car for install I noticed that there is only one bolt securing the delete kit. This may be ok for weight reduction but it not good for use with pets.
